An often overlooked part of lowering your vehicle is correcting the negative castor angle that adjustable front beams can cause.

If your steering wanders in cross-winds or on uneven road surfaces, doesn't self-centre or is lighter than it used to be, then your castor angle needs to be corrected.

The shims are 6.15 mm thick

Use longer beam bolts, part number: AC401401 when fitting.

Notes:These shims are inserted between the lower axle beam tube and the frame head to add a few degrees of positive castor, use longer beam bolts, part number: AC401401 when fitting. Calculating your castor angle on the driveway or home garage is tricky, we recommend fitting one pair to start with and add more if needed.
